Yes. Tick “Skip the first page”; numbering starts on page 2 from your start number.
Will numbers overlap my content?
They're placed in the margin. If your content runs close to the edge, reduce the margin or move numbers to the top.

No. Files are processed by JavaScript in your browser and never sent to a server, so it's safe for contracts and other sensitive documents.
